R&D

A research institute established for pyrolysis technology industrialization research and pyrolysis equipment application development, featuring a 1,000㎡ analysis and testing center and a 3,000㎡ technology industrialization base. In addition to meeting the conventional capabilities for pyrolysis experiments, analysis, testing, and theoretical research, the institute is also equipped with small-scale and pilot-scale simulation capabilities for the entire process of pyrolysis equipment engineering, providing strong R&D support to solve complex and real-life challenges with more precise and thorough solutions.

The research institute is led by Dr. Jamal Chaouki, an academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering The current team consists of 15 senior experts, 20 senior engineers, and 30 master’s and PhD-level researchers.

The institute is equipped with a variety of analysis and testing instruments, including:
▪ SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope)
 XRF (X-ray Fluorescence)
▪ GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry)
▪ ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma)
▪ and TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis).

The facility also includes complete small-scale experimental devices for pretreatment, pyrolysis processing, water treatment, and flue gas treatment, capable of simulating the real engineering processes to be carried out in the fields of solid waste and hazardous waste management.
